Gar Grannell – President

Gar Grannell is a global trade entrepreneur and logistician known for his leadership and expertise in supply chain and transportation management. He is a guest lecturer for the Export New York speaker series and serves on Syracuse University’s Franklin Supply Chain Advisory Board. He’s served as president of the Transportation Club of Central New York and has been recognized as a Top 40 Under 40. Gar graduated from Syracuse University with a double major in supply chain management and marketing management. He is currently President & CEO, as well as co-owner of Mohawk Global Logistics, an international logistics service provider. His company has received numerous awards, including, Fast Track 50 (Central New York Business Journal), Trade Partner of the Year (Capital Region Global Business Network), and International Service Provider of the Year (International Business Council of Greater Rochester NY).

Chuck Miller – Vice President

Chuck Miller has over twenty five years experience in international business and over twenty years of managerial experience with a Fortune Magazine Top 20 company. After obtaining a BS from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MS in Engineering Management from Syracuse University, Chuck began his impressive career in the transportation industry. His years of experience in engineering, quality, and supply management have enabled Chuck to work closely with clients to provide a bridge between technology, products, and suppliers. In addition to launching and managing his own consulting business in 2001, he is an adjunct professor at the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. Chuck’s extensive knowledge has enabled him to initiate strategic sourcing programs with suppliers in China, Russia, Europe, Latin America, and North America.

Robert Stein – Vice President

Robert Stein’s extensive experience in Customs brokerage and freight forwarding is spread across a multitude of roles, giving him an unique perspective on the field. Working at the northern border, in both release and entry roles, helped him to learn a great deal about cross border trade and NAFTA; while his work as a regional FDA trainer and vice president for a brokerage/freight forwarding firm gave him a deeper understanding of trade compliance. Robert is also an active speaker to the trade community, lecturing throughout the year on Incoterms, import compliance, and NAFTA. He is a licensed Customs broker, certified Customs specialist, and Vice President, Customs & Trade Compliance for Mohawk Global Logistics.

Mike Kuhn – Vice President

Mike Kuhn specializes in supply chain problem solving. Using his unique ‘trade talk’ strategy he has helped hundreds of companies uncover cost savings opportunities and potential trade barriers. Before joining the Mohawk team, Mike worked for DHL, where he was recognized as the top incentive earner in North America. Mike earned a MBA in International Business/Marketing from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a BS in Business Administration, Finance from Lemoyne College. He is Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Mohawk Global Logistics.

For three decades, Mike Bronowich has helped companies around the globe solve basic and problematic trade issues. He is a graduate of Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s degree in Transportation and Distribution Management. His seasoned career includes teaching global marketing and export marketing procedures for several years at Tompkins-Cortland Community College. Mike remains an active member of the Southern Tier Opportunity Coalition’s supply chain initiative group and is the Senior Vice President of Mohawk Global Logistics.

Gerry McDevitt is a logistics professional with extensive experience in the manufacturing arena. Gerry’s education includes a BS in Finance from Lemoyne College and a MBA with a double concentration in Supply Chain and Marketing from Syracuse University. His experience includes working for a fortune 500 company, where he held the position of Global Logistics Manager, which included responsibilities as Export Control Officer and Customs Compliance Officer. Gerry led the logistics group through the implementation of new ERP and WMS systems. Gerry is Vice President, Domestic Services at Mohawk Global Logistics.

Rich Roche – Director

Rich Roche is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Nautical Science and Marine Transportation. Rich is uniquely qualified in the maritime industry, having held licenses as a New York State Property and Casualty Broker, Chief Mate upon Oceans, First Class Pilot on Upper Bay of New York Harbor, and Master of Freight and Towing Vessels up to 1600 gross tons. His extensive career in the logistics industry has shaped him to be an expert in relationship building, carrier contracting, and agent work. In 2001, he started Diplomat Global Logistics, a freight forwarding company which was sold to Mohawk Global Logistics in 2009. Rich served on the Board of Directors of both the Rochester Transportation Council and the Transportation Club of Central New York. Rich currently serves as Chairman of the NVOCC Committee for the NCBFAA. Today, Rich is the Director of International Transportation at Mohawk Global Logistics.

Jim Trubits has over 30 years of experience in compliance consulting and supply chain management. He is a regular speaker for international trade groups, including the Buffalo World Trade Association, Erie County Industrial Development Agency, and the Canadian Consulate. He is endorsed by the National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators (NASBITE) as a Certified Global Business Professional. As an active member of the global business community, he currently serves as an officer of the Buffalo World Trade Association. Jim graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Buffalo and went on to complete the executive program in supply chain management at the Laurier Institute, as well as the International Air Transport Association’s air cargo training program, passing “with distinction.” Jim is a licensed Customs broker, certified Customs specialist, and Director of Business Development for Mohawk Global Logistics.

Sherie Cuddy is an expert on U.S. import compliance and tariff classification, with over 17 years of experience working in the international business sector. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international business from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Sherie is a licensed U.S. Customs Broker and Certified Customs Specialist. Active in several business groups in Rochester, New York, Sherie is the president of the International Business Council and secretary of the Transportation Council and International Resources Group. As the Regional Manager for Mohawk Global Logistics, she advises clients on Customs issues, entry audits, and supply chain streamlining.

Tina M. Jordan is a Licensed Customs House Broker and Certified Customs Specialist. Tina has been in the industry since 1995, and holds an Associate’s Degree in Business from Mohawk Valley Community College. After beginning her career in the transportation industry at the Port of Seattle, she relocated to Syracuse, NY in 2001. She impeccably maintains all import administrative functions; such as bonds, POA’s, and vessel manifests corporate wide. Tina has a vast knowledge of textiles and oversees all offices as Import Compliance Manager at Mohawk Global Logistics.

Andy McBride is a U.S. Certified Export Compliance Officer specializing in air and ocean exports, licensed shipments, and license compliance. Andy is an expert in both ITAR and EAR and consults with clients on questions about license applications and compliance requirements. He assists clients in all aspects of export shipments; including inland transport, transit to destination, bills of lading, and tracking of shipments. Andy is a member of the International Business Council of Rochester. He recently spoke at “The Basics of Export Compliance,” a seminar sponsored by Mohawk Global Logistics, where Andy holds a position as Senior Export Coordinator at the Rochester branch.
