Chuck Miller has over twenty five years experience in international business and over twenty years of managerial experience with a Fortune Magazine Top 20 company. After obtaining a BS from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MS in Engineering Management from Syracuse University, Chuck began his impressive career in the transportation industry. His years of experience in engineering, quality, and supply management have enabled Chuck to work closely with clients to provide a bridge between technology, products, and suppliers. In addition to launching and managing his own consulting business in 2001, he is an adjunct professor at the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. Chuck’s extensive knowledge has enabled him to initiate strategic sourcing programs with suppliers in China, Russia, Europe, Latin America, and North America.

Robert Stein’s extensive experience in Customs brokerage and freight forwarding is spread across a multitude of roles, giving him an unique perspective on the field. Working at the northern border, in both release and entry roles, helped him to learn a great deal about cross border trade and NAFTA; while his work as a regional FDA trainer and vice president for a brokerage/freight forwarding firm gave him a deeper understanding of trade compliance. Robert is also an active speaker to the trade community, lecturing throughout the year on Incoterms, import compliance, and NAFTA. Gerry McDevitt is a logistics professional with extensive experience in the manufacturing arena. Gerry’s education includes a BS in Finance from Lemoyne College and a MBA with a double concentration in Supply Chain and Marketing from Syracuse University. His experience includes working for a fortune 500 company, where he held the position of Global Logistics Manager, which included responsibilities as Export Control Officer and Customs Compliance Officer. Gerry led the logistics group through the implementation of new ERP and WMS systems. Gerry is Vice President, Domestic Services at Mohawk Global Logistics.

Rich Roche is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Nautical Science and Marine Transportation. Rich is uniquely qualified in the maritime industry, having held licenses as a New York State Property and Casualty Broker, Chief Mate upon Oceans, First Class Pilot on Upper Bay of New York Harbor, and Master of Freight and Towing Vessels up to 1600 gross tons. His extensive career in the logistics industry has shaped him to be an expert in relationship building, carrier contracting, and agent work. In 2001, he started Diplomat Global Logistics, a freight forwarding company which was sold to Mohawk Global Logistics in 2009. Rich served on the Board of Directors of both the Rochester Transportation Council and the Transportation Club of Central New York. Rich currently serves as Chairman of the NVOCC Committee for the NCBFAA. Today, Rich is the Director of International Transportation at Mohawk Global Logistics.

Andy McBride is a U.S. Certified Export Compliance Officer specializing in air and ocean exports, licensed shipments, and license compliance. Andy is an expert in both ITAR and EAR and consults with clients on questions about license applications and compliance requirements. He assists clients in all aspects of export shipments; including inland transport, transit to destination, bills of lading, and tracking of shipments. Andy is a member of the International Business Council of Rochester. He recently spoke at “The Basics of Export Compliance,” a seminar sponsored by Mohawk Global Logistics, where Andy holds a position as Senior Export Coordinator at the Rochester branch.
